I thought smittybilt had a good reputation which is why i was comfortable spending less on it than other roof racks. Off roaders looking for ultimate versatility and longevity in rooftop storage need to consider a smittybilt roof rack. Other reviews seem good so maybe i just got unlucky but the lack of quality and the fact that the issues weren t caught by the quality control inspection just doesn t sit well with me. Only issue was in the instructions it had you assemble the entire rear portion of the rack and put it on together 3 separate parts total when it was much easier to do it piece by pice. Has anyone recently installed the smittybilt src roof rack specifically on a jku. Removable cross bars for easy soft or hard top removal. You will have to drill into the rear quarterpanel inorder to attach the rear corners. All the reviews i can find on it are from 2010 11 and i m just curious if quality control has improved at all most reviews are 1 2 stars and extreme haters of smittybilt.

Now for the not so good. The smittybilt src roof rack system provides extreme toughness confident stability and superb convenience making it the complete package. Sturdy rugged actually much beefier than i anticipated. Reviewed in the united states on april 29 2017 i didn t have a lot of trouble installing this.
